Welcome to SamCab, your trusted taxi service in Gloucestershire. By using our services — whether booking a taxi over the phone, online (coming soon), or in person — you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. General

1.1 SamCab provides private hire taxi services in Gloucester, Cheltenham, Tewkesbury, and surrounding areas.

1.2 By booking a ride with us, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old or have the consent of a parent or guardian.

2. Bookings

2.1 How to Book: Rides can be booked by phone at 07958 670 251. Online booking is coming soon.

2.2 Booking Confirmation: All bookings are subject to availability. A booking is confirmed once you receive a verbal confirmation (by phone).

2.3 Cancellations: If you need to cancel, please notify us as soon as possible. Last-minute cancellations (within 15 minutes of the scheduled pickup) may incur a fee.

3. Pricing & Payment

3.1 Fares: Our pricing is transparent and based on distance, time, and any applicable waiting charges. Base fare and per-mile rates will be confirmed at the time of booking.

3.2 Waiting Time: Waiting time may be charged at a rate of £1 per minute after the first 5 minutes.

3.3 Payment Methods: Currently, we only accept cash payments. Online payment options will be introduced soon.

3.4 Airport Transfers: Fixed fares for airport transfers will be agreed upon during booking.

4. Passenger Responsibilities

4.1 Passengers must behave respectfully and follow the driver’s instructions during the journey.

4.2 SamCab reserves the right to refuse service to anyone displaying abusive, threatening, or unsafe behavior.

4.3 You are responsible for your belongings during the journey. SamCab is not liable for any lost or damaged items.

5. Delays & Liability

5.1 While we strive to be punctual, SamCab is not responsible for delays caused by traffic, weather, or unforeseen circumstances.

5.2 If we are unable to fulfill a booking due to an emergency or vehicle breakdown, we will notify you immediately and offer alternative transport where possible.

6.2 All complaints will be acknowledged within 48 hours and resolved promptly.

7. Changes to These Terms

7.1 SamCab may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Any changes will be posted on our website and will take effect immediately.

8. Governing Law

8.1 These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
